COVID-19 UPDATED HOURS AND PROTOCOL :
Ancestry, DVD's, Digital Libraries & More!
Just a reminder of what is available to you through the Library!
Did you know we have movies on DVD for loan, many non-fiction and documentaries as well as family or adult entertainment?
Online Public Access Catalog!
Are you familiar with the On-Line Public Access Catalog system or OPAC? It is easily accessed from your home or smart device. It gives you the ability to see all the books or movies available to you in our Library, including all recent additions. The address is: http://opac.libraryworld.com/opac/home. Type in Underwood Memorial Library, there is no password. Check the drop down menus. You can search several different ways.
The Library Board of Trustees and Library Director have been busy behind the scenes working on two grants for improvements to the Library. We are hoping to update old and bowing shelving with new rolling bookshelves, and we are hoping to replace a seriously outdated propane heater, among many other projects to improve your Library. Wish us luck!
Newsflash! We have been awarded one of our grants (so far) for replacing the bowing shelves, as well as another $50,000 grant from a very generous donor that will be used to improve the library building and operations. We will keep you updated with our progress.
We have a group that meets at the every other Wednesday at 6:00PM.
It’s called "We'll Keep You In Stitches". We welcome any and all kinds of stitching (knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and quilters), as well as any other craft or project you would like to work on and share in the comradery of friends, old and new. Learn a new skill or share yours with the group.
We’ll welcome you!
