Ancestry, DVD's, Digital Libraries & More!
Just a reminder of what is available to you through the Library! DVD's! Did you know we have movies on DVD for loan, many non-fiction and documentaries as well as family or adult entertainment? Online Public Access Catalog! Are you familiar with the On-Line Public Access Catalog system or OPAC? It is easily accessed from your home or smart device. It gives you the ability to see all the books or movies available to you in our Library, including all recent additions. The address is: http://opac.libraryworld.com/opac/home. Type in Underwood Memorial Library, there is no password. Check the drop down menus. You can search several different ways. GRANT UPDATE If you haven't checked out the Library renovations yet, you really should! So many updates have been made to the Library and it is really looking great. This fall we are taking on the JF/YA back room and will be ordering new replacement shelving to match what is out in the main room, painting and freshening up our last little space and then we are pretty much done with the interior renovations. We have received so many compliments on the renovations from our patrons and people just stopping in to check us out, including from another Library, who’s Director and Trustees have visited our Library to check out what we've done, so they could gather ideas for their own renovations. A very nice complement to our little Library, we should all be proud! We have a group that meets at the every other Wednesday at 6:00PM. It’s called "We'll Keep You In Stitches". We welcome any and all kinds of stitching (knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and quilters), as well as any other craft or project you would like to work on and share in the comradery of friends, old and new. Learn a new skill or share yours with the group. We’ll welcome you! ![]()
